When I spin on my wheel, my hands tend to start to get sore. There’s a lot of tense holding of roving and odd positions of said hands and it works muscles I don’t usually mess with (not to mention the sore legs, sheesh). Due to spinning for several days in a row, I thought I’d give my hands a break and not do any knitting or spinning. Other than play Minecraft, what in the world was I going to do all evening?
How about STARE AT THE PRETTY THINGS I GOT IN THE MAIL!?
First of all, have you been seen Nomadic Yarns on Etsy? Because her stuff is brilliant. I found her stuff through Instagram and immediately purchased her “Erotic Friend Fiction” yarn. Because I, like all right thinking people, LOVE Bob’s Burgers. So when I saw that she got some Bob’s Burgers fabric a few weeks ago, I knew that whatever she made with it had to be mine!
I wasn’t expecting it for another week so it was a pleasant surprise to find it waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday.
What I DID expect to find was my Valentine Sock Kit from Simply Socks Yarn Company. I have been coveting their kits since the holidays but either they were sold out or too expensive for me to get one. When I saw the mug for this kit though, I knew I had to do everything in my power to get it (the yarn isn’t bad either).
The whole thing surpassed my expectations. The mug has the PERFECT handle, big enough for all of my fingers to fit comfortably, the yarn (The Cyborg’s Craft Room in “Tainted Love”) is gorgeous and the truffles are delicious.
I was thrilled to pieces with my purchases and may have set them up in a nice, soothing arrangement on my nightstand so I could look at them before going to bed.
You know, like you do.
